Accent

This clumping, evergreen perennial grass is a fast grower, reaching up to 40 feet with a diameter of three inches. Deep green canes sometimes turn a golden hue when older. The plant spreads laterally and sends up taller canes as the clump matures.

Tolerant. Prefers improved garden soil. Dislikes alkaline situations.

Very dirty plant. Molts in the spring. Spreads rampantly. Gets too large for most residences.
