Grass TreeThis plant is a mounding, evergreen, grass-like succulent. It grows to ten feet tall with a spread of six to eight feet. The leaves are dark green, long and narrow.

Moderate, once or twice monthly.
Full sun, light shade. Form is more weepy in shade.
Tolerant with good drainage.
Little to none. Remove flower stalk and spent leaves along base.
Takes many years for foliage to lift off the ground to its 'tree' form.
Insignificant whitish green flowers on dramatic stalk growing from center of clump to 10 feet above foliage.
Lack of spines makes it suitable for high traffic areas. Specimen plant.
Native of Mexico. Member of the Agavaceae family.
