General Notes: Kitchen Prim will
In the name of God, amen. This 5th day of March in the year our Lord 1804 I Kitchen Prim of the County of Mecklenburg in the State of North Carolina, being old and stricken in years and calling to mind my mortality and that it is appointed for all men to die, do make this my last will and testament. First of recommending my soul to God who gave it, my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner, and as to my worldly estate it is my will and I order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and satisfied by my executors hereafter named. 2nd I give and bequest to my wife my dwelling house with all the furniture therein and the plantation on which said house stands with stock of every kind during her widowhood or at least until my son John comes to the age of twenty one years, and it is my will and I order that all things be kept together for the use of said family until the said John arrives to the above mentioned age, then all moveable property be put to sale and equally divided between my wife the above named John, Jordan and Elizabeth. Excepting what money will be hereafter mentioned, I give and bequeath to my son John when he arrives to mature age of 21 years the plantation in which I now live containing 123 acres as per record will appear with the following Negroes one wench named Anny on boy named Tony one wench named Bet to him his ___ and ___ forever. I give and bequeath to Thomas and Abram twenty shillings each to ___ ___ out of my estate according to the above divisions. And for the true execution of this my last will and testament I appoint John Osborn and Josiah ___ my executors hereby revoking and disannulling all other wills and bequests by me heretofor made actifying and confirming this and not other to be my last will and testament, signed, sealed pronounced and declared by the said Kitchen Prim as his last will and testament in presence of
