RUTHERFORDTON - Mr. James Irwin Johnston, 43, retired paving contractor, died June 23, 1993, at Rutherford Hospital. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Forest City. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight at his father`s home, 212 Wendover Dr., Forest City. Padgett & King of Forest City is in charge.

Survivors are his wife, Scotty; sons, Ethan Johnston, Jesse Johnston;
father and stepmother, Grayson and Sara Johnston of Forest City; brother, Grayson Johnston Jr. of Warner Robins, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Jenny Rhodes of Cosby, Tenn.; stepsister, Mrs. Melissa Fitzpatrick of Greensboro.

MOORESVILLE -- David Lee Eller, 46, of 366 N. Academy Street, died Jan. 26, 2000 at home.
Funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Neill Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Phil Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery in Cornelius. visitation is 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and other times at 366 N. Academy Street, Mooresville.
Born in Iredell county, Mr. Eller was a self-employed custom upholsterer. He was District Four Director of the IMAA and was an avid Model Flyer and Builder.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Christenbury Eller; mother, Dorothy Shepherd Eller of Cornelius; father, George Edgar Eller of Cornelius; and brother Michael Eller and wife Diane of Terrell, NC.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
