Here I am playing Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday"! This is a Roman drain cover in the form of the mask of a river god that, according to medieval tradition, would "bite" anyone who dared tell a lie with their hand inserted between the jaws. This is located in the portico of Santa Maria in Cosmedin church.
